Advanced Analysis of the Skin’s Hydrolipidic Film
Courage + Khazaka control units provide the modular foundation for operating C+K skin, hair, and surface measurement probes in research, testing, and laboratory environments. The system is designed to be flexible, allowing users to build a customized measurement setup based on their specific study requirements.
Each system consists of a control base unit and selected measurement probes. Depending on the application, users can choose a control unit with a built-in display, a unit designed to work directly with software, or a wireless configuration that transfers measurement values directly into the software.
This modular concept allows cosmetic laboratories, dermatology research teams, pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and academic research centers to select only the measurement parameters they need, such as hydration, sebum, TEWL, pH, elasticity, color, gloss, friction, or other skin and hair measurements.
Together, the control unit and probes create an individual multi-parameter
The Courage + Khazaka MPA systems are modular probe platforms designed for research and laboratory applications. They connect directly to the MPA CTplus software and allow users to build a measurement system exactly suited to their needs. Depending on the model, the system can support multiple probes at the same time and can be expanded as research requirements grow.

The MDD 4 is a stand-alone Courage + Khazaka measurement system designed for users who need direct result display without relying only on a computer-based setup. It features a large illuminated colour display and can show measurement results clearly as figures and curves.

Flexible Wireless Measurement for C+K Skin Testing Probes
Courage + Khazaka wireless probes provide a flexible, cable-free solution for skin measurement studies. The probes are battery-operated and transmit measurement data by radio directly into the MPA WLplus software.
The Multi Probe Adapter — MPA system is a modular control unit platform for operating Courage + Khazaka probes. It allows users to connect selected probes and build a customized multi-parameter measurement system for research and testing applications.
Available models include MPA 2, MPA 6, MPA 10, and Cutometer® dual MPA 580. Each model supports a different number of probes and configuration options.
No. The MPA systems do not have a built-in display. They are connected directly to the computer and operated through MPA CTplus software.
Yes. Depending on the model, the MPA system can be expanded with additional compatible probes. For example, MPA 6 supports up to 5 external probes, while MPA 10 supports up to 9 external probes.
No. The Cutometer® probe is compatible only with the Cutometer® dual MPA 580. It cannot be used with MPA 2, MPA 6, or MPA 10.
The MDD 4 — Multi Display Device is a stand-alone C+K control unit with a large illuminated color display. It shows measurement results directly as figures and curves.
The MDD 4 comes with one specific probe and the Ambient Condition Sensor. Up to two additional compatible probes can also be connected.
No. The MDD system does not support the Cutometer® probe.
Yes. The MDD 4 can be used as a stand-alone device with its built-in display, and it can also be connected to a PC for optional operation with MPA CTplus software. This allows measurement results to be managed, saved, and analyzed through the software when needed.
Yes, with the MDD you can transmit measurement values from its memory together with settings of the device directly into an Excel® sheet using the dedicated MDD software . Measurements are saved in the device memory until it is full (150 measuring values) or turned off.
C+K wireless probes are battery-operated and transmit measurement data by radio directly into the MPA WLplus software. The RR 200 receiver connects to the computer via USB.
The measurement values can be transmitted from a distance of approximately 5–10 meters, depending on the environment and setup.
Wireless versions are available for selected C+K probes, including Corneometer® CM 825, Mexameter® MX 18, Tewameter® TM 300, Skin-Thermo-Meter ST 500, Skin-Glossymeter GL 200, Skin-Colorimeter CL 400, and Skin-pH-Meter® PH 905.
No. Only one RR 200 receiver connected to the PC is required to support all available C+K wireless probes. You just need to activate the probes when running the software.
